To complete this discussion, draw on the Becoming an Ethical Helping Professional text, where the authors consider ethical theories and philosophies from the Western European and non-Western European perspectives, such as Confucianism, Islam, African ethical systems and American Indian ethics.
Compare your personal ethical standards to two of the ethical theories or philosophies described in the text.
Discuss the possible challenges a human services professional may encounter when engaging an employee or client who practices different ethical standards from his or her own.
