“Too many people are judged by the color of their skin rather than the quality of their mind. However, legal remedies will never cause the changes necessary in perception to truly effect racial equality.”

Discussion:

Using your reading in this course so far and other research, discuss the ethical ramifications of this statement.

This option asks you to discuss whether legal approaches help overcome discrimination or do they just cover up the discriminatory attitudes without changing them? And if so, what approach needs to be taken to change discriminatory attitudes?
