Self-driving cars and their impact on designing healthcare facilities: This will be used as a sample of written work required to apply for a PhD program.
You can draw information from the uploaded posters, but most of the information you might have to find yourself as I have lost those citation from long ago.
A couple things to keep in mind:
1. this is to demonstrate a PhD level writing, so richness of vocabulary is somewhat necessary
2. As research papers go, this might need to also demonstrate clearness in thinking process and a logical approach to the problem
Again, I’m imagining this topic that will happen in 5 to 10 years (as suggested on poster, “Near Fture”), you can also give insight to what far future looks like in 20+ years (on poster, far future), a relative reasonable source would be this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzLYh3j6xn8, please pay special attention start @ 8:38 as it talks about the medical field)
Some thoughts to begin with:
1. In the future, there will be less human doctors and more AI diagnostic actions
2. it takes years and large amount of money to train a human doctor, and human makes mistakes, they also need to learn from past cases while they are unable to remember every single detail, so they may overlook some important things. While machines can have those cases archived within their storage unit and can very quickly compare symptoms from past cases to the current one to make a much more accurate diagnosis, not to mention the cost and time to construct one comparing to training a human doctor.
3. Based on point 2, the overall healthcare cost will be reduced and thus much more affordable to the general public.
4. with above in mind, patient will no longer need to schedule with a doctor weeks if not months ahead to time to check themselves up, thus saving time (see diagrams on the first poster, showing simplified clinic visiting process)
5. self-driving cars allows “drive through clinics”, as you pass by, AI can scan your body in matter of seconds and give you a comprehensive analysis of your body conditions on your way to work or the like. Prescription medicines will be sent to your house afterwards. (this is pure speculation, it is up to you on how you imagine this happening)
