develop and build your skills as a community/public health nurse. The assignment will require you to assess the needs of a community. This can be the community where you live, work or have a connection in some way. Using the data you collect, you will identify the health problem or issue in the selected community. Determine what factors contribute to the cause of the problem. Use your findings to propose a project that will offer interventions to improve the health of your community.

The assignment is in three parts. It requires the following:

a) Part 1: your assessment of a community and identification of the community health issue or problem that needs to be addressed

b) Part 2: the proposal for a project or program to address the health issue or need.

c) Students will submit a slide deck presentation of the project for discussion.
