Each student will design and implement a community health teaching project. The group to be used for teaching will be selected in Week One. The group will be a lay group, accessible to the student. A written outline of the Teaching Project will be submitted in Week Two. The teaching will be completed and a self-evaluation of the completed Teaching Project is due in Week Three.
Teaching examples include: hand washing for younger children, home safety for children home alone after school, breast self-exam for women, Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B information for day-care providers, bicycle safety for children, or healthy eating for teenagers. Potential sites include day care centers, Brownie or Cub Scout groups, after-school programs for children, senior citizen centers, and others.
In implementing the teaching, students will develop an awareness of the community resources/materials available to help meet the needs of the group. At least four professional resources are used to develop the project outline.

Develop a 750-1,050-word outline/paper using APA format. This assignment is due in Week Two.
