CLINICAL PRESENTATION:

Currently has hypertension and newly diagnosed with pre-diabetes.  Her physician has prescribed medication and recommended that she get support from a dietitian. She has a family history of diabetes Miletus and cardiovascular disease.

LIFESTYLE:

Rebecca is an Accounting Executive of a prominent marketing firm. Her position requires long hours and she has little time for exercise. Additionally, she has noticed that she is experiencing some anxiety due to the demands of her job and having difficulty managing her stress levels.

 

PART II:

The purpose of the reflection paper is to express your opinion on the use of Alternative Therapies as a form of treatment for conditions and disease. What is your opinion on the use of Alternative Therapy? What have you learned as result of taking this course? What do you want to do you want to explore?

 

Part I Instructions: Write a 2-4-page paper describing how you would treat the client’s present condition using an Alternative Therapy.

 

1. Select three therapies that address the client’s condition in your paper. Therapies may be used as a single application, combination of therapy or used in conjunction with conventional medicine.
2. The alternative therapies must be evidenced based and supported with peer-reviewed research articles.
3. Provide an explanation (summary) of why you chose these specific therapies and how the client can benefit from using them.
4. Paper must be written in Times New Roman, 12-font and double-spaced.
5. All research must be referenced and cited at the end of the paper.

 

Part II Instructions: Write a one-page paper reflecting your opinion on the use of Alternative Therapies. Paper must follow the same formatting as Part I of your paper.
