NR 509 Problem List and a Differential Diagnoses List
The ability to form a differential diagnosis is an art that develops through training and practice. It is arguably a skill that forms the essence of a good clinician. A clinician must review the patient’s presenting complaint(s), history, and clinical examination findings in order to accomplish this task. In general, differential diagnostic procedures are used by clinicians to diagnose the specific disease in a patient, or, at least, to eliminate any imminently life-threatening conditions.
