-What is the major perspective, position, assertion, or claim?
-Why is it being expressed in this particular way?
-How does this text compare to other texts we’ve read?

Answer ONE of the following questions:
- Describe the way Hunt understands a particular history and how the piece intervenes in that history.
- What theoretical perspectives is she drawing on? How is this helpful or not? Is the author herself articulating a theoretical model? What is it?
- What is important about the specific examples, texts, or set of resources Hunt analyzes/uses to make the point? How does this evidence shape the argument? Is there other relevant evidence that adds to or contradicts the author’s position? Is the author proposing a methodological model?
Answer TWO of the following questions:
5.What in the text provoked you to thought? How? why?
- Incorporate at least one quotation/example from the work that illustrates one or more of the above points. Examine the author’s use of language.
- List critical questions you would pose to the class for discussion both based on your analysis and on Hunt’s work generally.
- How would you answer them? If you were to write a term paper answering a particular question, how would you go about it? why?
