Mrs. H is a 45-year-old woman recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and is going to begin amantadine 50 mg po bid and Sinemet™CR 1 tab bid. She is already being treated for gastric ulcers with Nexium™ 40 mg qd.
The physician is trying to explain the need for long-term medication therapy that may also need to be adjusted as her disease progresses.
