In other fields, such as education and social work, EBP involves using the best available evidence to inform decision-making about interventions and programs, utilizing evidence-based nursing practices.
EBP requires practitioners to critically evaluate the quality and relevance of available evidence and to consider the individual characteristics and preferences of the patient or client being treated. By using EBP, practitioners can ensure that their decisions are informed by the best available evidence and are more likely to result in positive outcomes for the people they serve.
