One the difference between traditional hospitals and nursing homes is that in traditional hospitals the patient is allowed the comfort of their homes and customizes the kind of health care they want to be given whiles at nursing homes the patient the patients stay along with other patients and there is little independence as their activities are scheduled. Secondly nursing homes are specific to long term care as they are designed in a home environment and some are specifically for the aged in the society and they have fewer trained staff and lots of manual trained staff while hospitals admit people who need urgent medical care and they have a greater number of trained staff compared to nursing homes( Wunderlich, Sloan & Davis, 1996) .
