Health education plays a major role and it cannot be overlooked. It can simply be described as the process of educating people about health. It brings together health workers and community stakeholders to improve health and wellness by creating enlightenment about a diverse range of contemporary health issues. As such, health education takes into consideration the health of a community as a whole with the aim of identifying health issues and trends within that particular population and integrate various stakeholders in coming up with solutions that are best fit for the population (Luque et al. 2014). The ultimate goal of health education is having people behaving in ways that are conducive for the promotion, maintenance and/restoration of health. The nursing process is usually one of the best opportunity in developing health education because nurses regularly come into direct contact with people more than any other health workers do. As such, the nursing process is the best platform to incorporate health education in order to best achieve the goals of health education. The nursing process stands the best chance of influencing the behavior of individuals in respect to their health (Martin & Nahar, 2017).
